Name of Person in Need of Prayer:: Baby Aden Barker (Breitzke's grandson) Date Posted: August 21, 2008 Prayer Concern: The Breitzke's daughter and son-in-law, Crezilda and Larry Barker, go to the hospital (Willow Creek)twice a day to see baby Aden, who has been off the respirator since Tuesday morning. They are using a Z-Pak (oxygen in the nose) to assist him breath if necessary, however, he's been breathing on his own. He's on 24 hour watch and probably will be for a while. His blood sugar fluctuates, which is expected, and his skin is thickening. He's still on a feeding tube. They started giving him Crez's milk last Friday, six drops every six hours. They tried to give it to him every three hours but had to stop because it was too much for his little tummy. They may try to up it again over the weekend. He has lost 7 grams, mainly body fluid, which was expected. They'll weigh him again in a week or so; they try to avoid moving him a lot because he's sensitive to touch and it might interrupt his developmental process. His heart and lungs look good, which is a good sign, and x-rays of his head show no sign of bleeding. At this point, doctors do not know what to expect from day to day because every day is different with a premature baby, especially one his size, and there will be some good days and some bad days according to them. If all continues to go well, they may let Crezilda hold him for the first time tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers. Please continue them for Baby Aden, Larry and Crezilda. They are feeling God's presence within them.
