Shepherd Groups There are 8 Shepherd Groups with an Elder assigned to each one. One or more volunteers serve as group leaders. The leaders are the contact people for that group. They help organize at least two social activities per year. In the event of the death of a member of the group, the shepherd group assists the Bereavement Committee of the Deacons with a meal and refreshments (as appropriate) for the family and guests. Shepherd Groups help, as assigned, with the Fellowship Hour after Worship. Other activities may include serving at the Lenten Soup Suppers. The shepherd group organization serves as a communications link between the church and each of the shepherd group members. News Alerts on the website and phone calls are used to signal important information.
